Remember this Invasion?

The Doctors Without Borders pulls out of Afghanistan
MSF has pulled out of Afganistan after 13 years on the ground, frustrated by that government's failure to satisfactorily investigate the killing of its workers in June, US politically motivated aid and the inherent dangers of the region. Glad to see that the West has done such a good job tidying things up in that region.

As mentioned, I went out last night to see Control Room. An interesting film although as a documentary and intellectual exercise it came up a little short. There were many, many interesting points raised but I don't feel that any were given sufficient exploration. For American audiences, this movie will likely be considered much more inflammatory than Fahrenheit 9/11. The portrayal of American military forces (and particularly command) wavers between ignorance and ineptitude with episodes where they are calculatedly misleading and other episodes where they appear outright liars. Nonetheless a very interesting insight into how the news is "created".

In case you've been on the far side of the moon, turn your speakers up and go to JibJab's Singing and Dancing Presidential Candidates. Very funny stuff.

On a another note, I have been again critized about my web journal entries. Apparently yesterday's explanation of my morning routine was "too boring for anyone to care". And here I was thinking that there was some value in explaining the method in my madness. There really is no satisfying some people.
