(Clean) Roommate Required

Have a ton of work to do today. In addition to my numerous Infoware projects and deadlines, I will likely have to spend the better part of tonight continuing to clean my apartment - the kitchen is in incredible disarray.

Why the sudden commitment to getting the apartment spic-and-span? I need to find a need roommate. It seems that after several months of living out-of-town, my roommate has finally graced me with the information that he has moved out... And stopped paying rent a couple months ago. ARGH! In the interim he had made arrangements to sublet his place (a story in itself) and the combination of my absent self, the roommate and the slob of a sub-tenant has meant that the apartment is in no shape to be shown. Had a frank conversation with the landlord and he is pretty frustrated - I am now going to be responsible for finding a roommate and collecting the rent. ARGH! Of course this all could have been avoided if the roommate had let me know his plans some time back - he had decided but chose to keep the information to himself.

Today's morning meeting went OK. The manager's real interest is hopefully more than it seems - he was interested in our products, but has "Caretaker" written all over his forehead.
