The Rising Liverpool Tide

Liverpool defeated weak West Brom over the weekend 3-0 and I have yet to catch the game - I will have to see about getting my internet connection working at the apartment. From what I've read, the big star of the match was new signing Luis Garcia, whose role as attacking midfielder seemed to really get things going. Rafa Benitez is still tinkering with the team makeup and Liverpudlians are getting worked up about future matches and the apparent wealth of talent the team now seems to possess as new signings catch on and long-time players step up (an example - once endangered Finnan scored on Saturday and is apparently now favoured in RB's eye). What makes me excited as the season goes forward is the apparent excitement of the team - the players seem to be genuinely interested in playing competitive football and are adapting to Benitez' new methods and strategies.
