Reds rain in Goals, Rafa Staying

The Reds hammered Fulham yesterday 5-1, although in the first half the team went ahead after an own goal by Fulham's Brown. Fulham fell to pieces in the 2nd half.

Liverpool's scoring spree probably arrived a week too late for everyone's liking given that they're out of Europe, but with the fine print being prepared on Rafa Benitez's new contract, the timing of the Reds' return to goalscoring form was wholly appropriate.

Happily, Robbie Fowler added his first goal since his return to the club. I'm still not convinced that Morientes proved he still possesses a killer instinct when in the second half from one yard he scored after Fulham failed to clear Djibril Cisse's downward header.

In other Liverpool news, Rafael Benitez today delivered the news all Liverpool supporters wanted to hear when he announced that he's definitely staying at Anfield.

Speculation last week hinted that the Liverpool boss could be tempted by the offer of a managerial position at either Inter Milan or Real Madrid.
