Blogging for a dime.
My work of late has lead me into some varied reading, specifically in the area of what's termed Web 2.0 - concepts of which include online social networking, wikis, blogs and different ways of advertising. Conventional media businesses (TV and print) are struggling to find their way in this new marketplace and there are many different cuts now emerging among marketing firms as to how to tap a skeptical and decentralized audience.
One of the "controversial" entries into this space is the idea of paid text in blogs like this one - simply called blog advertising. For a few bucks a firm can get the blog community to place their links and common on their sites. I can't say that I find it that controversial -- you're relatively free to comment as you like.
Yet more evidence that the revolution will be blogged. (
