A Corn Row?

Argentina, Brazil and Guatemala have joined Canada in a trade fight with the United States over corn subsidies.

When it filed its request, the Canadian government said the U.S. accounted for 41 per cent of global corn production in 2005-2006 and 68 per cent of all corn exports during that period.

Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada also said U.S. corn subsidies have averaged almost $9 billion US per year over the past two years.
